At first glance Marceline looks like another pretty tabby face. But underneath her tiger stripes and topaz-coloured eyes is a girl who has still waters that run deep.
Marceline is beautiful, yes, but she is also a reserved girl who likes to sit back and observe before diving in.
Trust is earned – not given – with this girl, but that is generally with adults she doesn’t yet know. With older children Marceline can feel comfortable enough to reveal a little more of herself. So if you have a child looking to create a bond with a kitty, Marceline could be a good option. But you will need to be patient and let that bond develop organically.
Marceline is a wonderful mix of cautious and sensitive as well as playful and smart. She will keep you on your toes as she switches gears, but that is what makes her a bit of an enigma.
This girl bonds well with other cats (including her sister Marsha, soon to be listed on Pet Rescue) and she is fine with a small, cat-friendly dog too. So if you have other pets and are looking to expand the family, Marceline would fit right in – with the right slow, safe introductions of course.
From a young age Marceline has been a little wary of people. She has her guard up but she will also surprise you when she suddenly wants to swat your hand while you’re on your phone.
Given time and the right environment, Marceline will find her paws and become a loved member of your household. But you will need to be patient, you will need to be kind and you will need to show her that she is safe.
Marceline also likes her own space at times, so learning and respecting her boundaries is a must. If allowed to do so on her terms, this girl will reveal her true heart of gold.

Adoption details
HOW TO ADOPT FROM US:
1. Email dandycatrescue@yahoo.com and request an adoption form to be sent to you, fill it out and return it to us. We’ll be in touch!
2. If your application is successful, we’ll make arrangements for you to visit our cats and kittens at our foster carer’s home.
3. We ask that you pay the nominated fee to us via online bank deposit either at the adoption day or at the home visit (preferred), or in cash. We do not accept eftpos, credit or debit card transactions at this stage.
4. You will be provided with a folder of paperwork for your new kitty upon adoption. Your adoption fee includes a Central Animal Records Change of Ownership that is completed by us online two weeks after the adoption.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
The rescue group has removed this pet and it is no longer available for adoption.
