About Maya
Maya is a cuddle bug with a goofy personality who needs to find a home where she can be with her beloved humans and make them happy. She is incredibly loyal and eager to please, she would do anything for your praise or ear scratch. Maya loves to snuggle up with you on the couch after playing her favourite game, fetch.
She is house and crate trained, sleeps in her crate all night and has no fear of storms. She loves the car and does a funny dance every time she gets in it! Her favourite activity is to please her family but is also happy to spend some time alone chewing a cow hoof. She has no destructive behaviours, nor willingness to escape.
She loves people so much that she gets excited when meeting new people and can jump in excitement but calms down quickly. She is a smart girl and has advanced training in obedience, plus some foundational scent detection and agility skills. She is currently part of a dog club where she enjoys learning new skills every week. She thrives with structure and will need someone to keep her training up so that she can be the best girl ever.
Maya would suit a family with children over 12 years of age or an active couple to show her the world, in a rural or suburban environment. She loves people so much she is best suited as an only dog as she can be reactive to other dogs on lead despite growing up with another dog and having had training for this from a very young age. Maya doesn’t want to meet other dogs and needs a confident handler that she can trust.
Maya comes with all the gear you need (crate, toys, leashes, harness, etc) and also a free professional training session to ensure she can keep practising her leash walking skills.
Medical notes: Maya’s left eye is blind from birth and might require removal in the future. She has perfect vision from the other eye and there’s no risk of her becoming blind. Her blind eye doesn’t affect her at all and causes no pain.

Don't see a breed attached to one of our dogs? That's because we don't breed label dogs of unknown genetic history. We can't guess at breeds but that's okay, because we can tell you about the dog's individual personality, character, and behaviour.
