About Jonas ~ Staffy Puppy(On Trial 3/7/22)
Hi guys, My name is Jonas, I am a 10 week old boy Staffy puppy and I am looking for my forever home. I’m still a baby but I love to run and play with my brother and new foster doggy friends in a lovely big yard. I am a typical staffy pup, I love my people and I’m a big sooky babe. Actually my brother Jag is more sooky than me. If you don’t like doggy cuddles and kisses then don’t get either of us cos we love ‘em. I just want to play, lay on the lounge with you and be your best friend.
My brother and I love our toys and to play wrestle each other to see who wins the toy first before the chase begins. I am faster than Jag but he is a bit stronger so he can tug harder but when he runs I can catch him, Tug of war is one of our favourite games. As you can see we are both mega cute, I’m just a little fellow now but I will get to a nice medium size. I’ve got plenty of personality and a lovely easy going nature. I’ve have learnt to talk a bit,
but Jag talks more than me he is just a sook and wants all the cuddles and attention. I have just worked out how to bark, I don’t really do it much I’m happy to chill out for a while, but well I do have spurts of energy sometimes, I think my foster mum called them zoomies. Jag just sits there like I’m crazy, but I think it’s fun.
We both have sweet personalities and don’t like being left alone for long periods of time or in a big yard all alone. We love playing outside and running around and we both love all the toys we have to play with. I love giving kisses the most and we are both doing really well with training too. We come when we are called, love you go to the toilet on the grass and are learning to drop too. My brother and I are sleeping together at the moment in a large crate and we are really good at it cos we only cry when we need to go to the toilet.
I like children, but my teeth are still a bit sharp, I’m going to be a medium size when I grow up and at the moment I zing around so fast I can trip children over so I think I should be adopted to a family with children over 8 years old, or someone that had a lovely companion for me to play with would be ideal as I love my foster play mates.
Before applying for me I have some questions for you to consider:
-Have you owned a puppy before and know all their habits and limitations.
-Have you considered any extra medical bills that might arise.
-Have you thought about loving and caring for me for the next 12-15 years - maybe even longer ?
-I am a furever dog not just a COVID dog
-I won’t be a small puppy for long and will get up to mischief as I become a teenager. Are you ready for that?
-Have you thought about my extra puppy meals throughout the day?
-Will somebody be home more often than not to keep me socialised?
-I will most likely be able to squeeze through small gaps so do you have solid fencing (5-6 foot) to keep me safe?
-Have you thought about my ongoing physical training and mental stimulation (enrichment games) so that I don't get bored and destructive?
-Will I have access to inside at all times to ensure that I am a part of your family?
I'm watching and learning from you from the moment I open my eyes.
I’ve been practicing my toileting, come and recall to my name and love getting little rewards. I like being inside for a snuggle but love being outside to run around and play with lots of chew toys. Being under supervision means I learn boundaries (crucial as I grow older) and means I am less likely to develop nuisance behaviours due to boredom.
