About Rose
Look at that shiny coat and gorgeous face! Rose is Miss Adaptable; although she lived in kennels all her life as a race dog, she has adapted very quickly to a life of sofa luxury. She’s very gentle and calm and loves the company of people.
Rose’s personality is best described as affectionate and relaxed. She’s learning to enjoy being stroked and hugged, but she’s opening quickly to the idea. She’s a delight to have around, and she loves her walkies. She’s an intelligent girl who learned several useful commands while with her foster carer. Rose is house-trained and a great eater - she’ll pinch anything edible if it’s left lying around within reach.
Whilst being fostered rurally, she’s visited Sydney, where she attended a dinner party, coffee shops, and a busy dog park. She acquitted herself well in all situations. Rose is calm and gentle with the kids. It’s now time for Rose to enjoy life to its fullest, so she’s looking for a home where she can get all the attention with either a male dog companion and/or respectful kiddos. Currently, Rose is living with another dog, and they get on fine. She’s been left at home for two to three hours without distress.
You can find a pile of soft toys tucked into her bed at the end of the day. Rose’s day can be easily summed up - breakfast, sleep, walk, sleep, walk, sleep, dinner, play and sleep! She’s untested off lead but would love to learn to enjoy this freedom. When she was on the lead around other dogs, she was excited and interested in saying hello. Rose is fine with stairs and great in the car. Due to her prey drive, she’s best in a home without smaller dogs/cats/pets.
Rose would make an affectionate, low maintenance companion for someone willing to give up space on their couch and a couple of daily walks.
Note: Ms Rose is located in Bulahdelah NSW, but is on holidays in Sydney from 22nd to 28th August and open for meet-and-greets!
Medical notes
This lovely lady is fit and healthy and recently had a dental cleanup.
Adoption details
When enquiring about a pet listed with Home2Home, your enquiry goes directly to the pet’s owner - the person who knows them best!
It’s a great opportunity to ask any questions you may have about the pet, including its likes and dislikes, needs, and how it may fit into your lifestyle and family.
From here, the owner will be in touch with you to chat a bit more about their pet, and if they feel your home is the best fit, they will arrange a ‘meet and greet’ for you all to get to know each other.
Should this prove successful, arrangements will be made for the pet to move straight from its current home into yours upon payment of the adoption fee.
The adoption fee is paid directly to PetRescue (via a secure payment link), and assists us to continue to run and develop programs to assist pet owners, just like Home2Home.
Change of Ownership paperwork will be completed, vetwork history will be provided and your new family member will be snuggled on your couch in no time!
