About Ruby
Ruby is a snuggly, affectionate, sweet, playful and loving girl, on the hunt for her perfect people!
Ruby is so sweet and loves pats, if you think she’s had enough she will put her little paw up to tell you she’d like more. She is always on the lookout for the prime pat and cuddle spot, sometimes it’s on your chest or beside your head, she wants to be as close as possible! If beside you she will scoot her little bum close to you so you’re always touching.
She loves her walks - multiple shorter walks a day suit her style! She is good on lead, but can be a little cheeky and try to dictate the walking route (it’s the bulldog in her). She is easily motivated to go your way if you have a tasty treat in hand, as she loves her food.
Ruby would be best suited to a quiet home with someone around more often than not, as she just adores spending time with her people. Her ideal day consists of snoozing beside her people, receiving all of the pats, a few tasty treats and regular walkies.
Ruby has not been bothered by other dogs in passing - though if she were to share her home with another male doggy friend, a successful meet and greet would be necessary. She would need a home without cats however, she does not enjoy their company.
She also has her quirks (like many Frenchies do!). She is constantly snorting or snoring, she could never sneak up on you! Ruby loves her playtime, and will affectionately nibble at your ear if she gets close enough. She would prefer playing with her people any day over playing with a toy.
If I sound perfect for you, please complete the short adoption application form in the attached link, please note this is the only way your application will be considered: https://homelesshounds.com.au/adopt/dogs
Medical notes
Ruby is desexed, microchipped and up to date with vaccinations and parasite control.
Ruby is on medication, but she will easily gobble them up if hidden in her food or accompanied with a treat.
Ruby is allergic to grass, (probably not all grass but we aren’t sure), she is on cytopoint injections, low allergen food and will likely need to be kept off grass for the rest of her life. She doesn’t mind though.
