About Maggie
Hi my name is Maggie and I love with all my heart
I am a British Bulldog and I am 4 years old
I came into care about 3 months ago in pretty bad shape – I had bilateral cherry eyes, was malnourished and the rescue was worried I was pregnant, I had fly blown ears and had no manners at all
Fast forward now 3 wonderful months of me being in care and I am just loving life, loving people and loving a comfy spot on the couch to sleep.
The rescue and the vets sorted me all out – I wasn’t pregnant (yeah!) and the rescue made sure that I will not able to have any more babies.
They did some serious work on my cherry eyes – and of course as I’m a bulldog it was not without lots of complications!
The vets did an amazing job on my eyes but one of my eyes is a bit droopier then the other but my foster mum just says that is what makes me more special – I have been thru hell and back with my eyes and whilst I still need one of my eyes given a once over wipe daily but love I will show you is worth it.
The rescue also fixed up my fly blown ears and my foster mum worked on my coat making it now to be so soft and clean – she has fed me the yummiest food and given me some amazing baths.
As the rescue and my foster mum worked on all of this to help me they got to see my personality come out …………..
I’m a loving girl who loves to sleep thru the day and the night on a couch or near my humans – I love a good tongue out sleep and snore.
I enjoy meeting new people sometimes I do get a little bit extra excited but do calm down quickly.
My ideal home would be either an only dog or another small breed dog but must be female and not dominant – I do very much like being the matriarch of the family. I currently share my foster home with a female French bulldog and a male French bulldog – my foster mum says from time to time the male Frenchie and I will just do that look at each other and I like to remind him I want to be the boss. But I get on really well with my foster sister.
I love watching tv with you and sleeping next to the bed at night to make sure you are safe.
I love going on car rides they used to make me nervous but not anymore and seeing new places sometimes I'm a little unsure but come around pretty quickly as I just love spending time with my humans.
I would love a home where someone is home more often then not – I’m the bestest secretary if you work from home – I will provide a lovely background music of bulldog snoring (hee hee)
I have not been around cats and my foster mum says it could really go either way
I am great with kids but also do tend to run into them sometimes like a bulldozer just to ensure I get the first cuddle – so kids either need to learn to brace for a tackle or be able to bounce back.
I have had a pretty tough start to life and I’m really looking for my forever home where there is people for cuddles, and beds / couches for snoozing on. I also do a really cute thing where I sleep with my tongue out so if your looking for a love bug who will worship their humans – apply now!!

Once an adoption enquiry is completed our admin team will assess the application and if successful we will arrange for a meet and greet to be completed. We may also request photos of your yard for consideration of your application. Please note that we will do no more than 3 meet and greets per dog.
Approved applicants will be contacted to arrange a time for a meet & greet via email. You must bring your current dog along to the meeting if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption - proof of your dogs up-to-date vaccination is required before any meet and greet is arranged.
Our adoption fee must be cleared in our bank account before any animal is available for pick up. Please note we bank with ANZ - any other bank may take 48 hours to process the monies.
Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 10 day trial period – this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $100) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.
Please also note while this can be a very exciting time for everyone, it can also be an overwhelming time for dogs and we ask that you do try and allow your new family member to settle in their new home and adjust
INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption
