About Winnie
*In foster care in Leichhardt, Sydney*
Winnie is a darling Maltese/Shih Tzu/poodle pooch who has blossomed since arriving at her foster home - which she happily shares with a three-year-old Labrador and two-year-old cat! While she can be a bit timid at first, she warms up quickly and her sparky little personality is incredibly sweet :)
Still very young, Winnie is slowly learning where the right place to go to the toilet is, and will definitely benefit from continued socialising to help her grow in confidence. She sleeps contentedly all night in her crate (currently in her foster carer's bedroom) and adores a cuddle, resting her little head on your shoulder.
Like all Maggie's pets, Winnie is microchipped, desexed and vaccinated.

MY IDEAL HOME: I'm really not picky! I think I'd fit right into any dog-loving home, even one with other pets. I'd be an excellent match with a person or family looking to adopt their first dog, and who has the time to devote to training me and helping me be my best self.
MY ENERGY LEVEL: When I wake up in the morning I'm full of beans, but being a wee puppy I do love my naptime too! I only need a small to moderate amount of exercise every day, whether that's a run around the backyard or a short walk around the neighbourhood. I'm still learning to walk on the lead, but my foster carer says I'm doing very well :)
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: Great! I enjoy being picked up and cuddled.
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: I love my furry foster sibs, although the feeling isn't necessarily mutual with my feline brother! I think I'd get on best with a calm and patient dog who can show me the ropes.

Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
Please consider, that a Maggie's Pet is a pet for Life, before adopting.
