About Bear ~ 6yr Old Border Collie X(On Trial 30/7/22)
Hello, my name is Bear but my friends call me the Big Bear. I’m a soft cuddly dude who just
wants to be loved. I’m turning 6 this year but you’d never guess, I’m as playful as a pup!
Most people say I’m a Border Collie X (what – we are yet to find out… I have a DNA test on
the way).
I love all games, especially frisbee and tug-o-war. I’ve been enjoying going to training to get
more comfortable around other dogs and I’m even getting better walking on the leash. I
absolutely love food and will do just about any trick for a delicious snack. I can do basic
commands like sit, shake, lie, wait, eat, etc and I’m getting the grasp of agility training, once
I can figure out what my back legs are doing.
I love to be around you as much as possible, watching you go about your business, but I can
be an independent fella too as long as I feel included. I can be left alone for the day as long as I get plenty of attention when you’re home. I respectfully do not dig holes though my backyard zoomies have been known to knock down a seedling or two. I just love being at home with my humans and haven’t shown any interest in wandering off.
I get pretty anxious while driving, having my luscious locks washed and going to new places
but I’m brave and will jump in the car or dog wash without hesitation. I’m also pretty anxious
around most other dogs and am best kept on a leash in hairy situations.
I love humans in all shapes and sizes though I can get a bit over excited so am best
supervised around young and fragile humans. I’d be great company for a single person or
family with older kids and big yard to run around in but preferably no other pets. I’m fully
vaccinated and de-sexed.
