About Splice
Splice
The sweetest girl, full of personality & sass, super confident and a little bit cheeky!
Splice has been living with her sister Paddle Pop & the resident Kelpie pup, Stormi. Splice is a heeler x who is currently weighing in around 5.9kg.Baked on her current weight and age we feel she will only grow to an med size girl
Splice loves to play, wrestle, and get into mischief, she is very confident and doesnât hesitate when trying to take on her foster sister Stormi, who is much bigger than her. Splice loves pats, butt scratches and all the attention, she is very cuddly and quite the smoocher - she has the sweetest little face & ears.

PLEASE CHECK YOUR SPAM AND JUNK FOLDERS FOR YOUR APPLICATION ONCE YOU HAVE SENT YOUR ENQUIRY
FOOD:
Splice is currently being fed three times a day Savour Life dry puppy food, she is very food orientated and quite the guts, she inhales her food like itâs her last ever meal and then tries to get stuck into her sisters. She is also learning how to sit and wait for her food - which is a work in progress.
SLEEPING:
Splice currently sleeps in a covered crate with her sister, she generally sleeps through the night, and we donât hear a peep out of her until she hears us up and about in the morning.
TOILETING/TRAINING/WALKING:
Toilet training is a work in progress for Splice, when inside she is slowly learning to go to the back door if she needs to go out but still has a few accidents inside. This is very normal puppy behaviour, and we would expect her new family to keep up with the toilet training and encourage her to go outside.
Splice is currently a super excited and energetic puppy and will require a family that are willing to spend the time training her. She is a very clever girl, and we feel she will pick things up quite quickly - especially if there is food involved.
Due to Splices age and not being fully vaccinated, she has not been on lead or taken for any walks. She will need ongoing training on how to walk nicely on lead.
ENRICHMENT:
Splice is very playful and full of energy, she loves her zoomies and playing with balls & toys. Splice loves to wrestle with her sisters and doesnât hold back when doing so. She has very sharp puppy teeth and will chew on anything she can get her mouth around, which is very normal puppy behaviour while teething. Splice is very curious and loves to go exploring in the garden, she will often be found foraging for leaves and sticks that she can chew on.
DOGS/CATS:
Splice has not been tested with cats but due to her age, we donât see a problem with her being homed with a family that have cats.
Splice has been in care with two other dogs, she loves to play and pick fights with her sister by pulling a leg out from underneath her or chewing on her tail. We have not seen any aggressive behaviour from her towards any of the other dogs and feel she would be fine to be homed with a family that already have a dog.
CHILDREN:
Splice has only spent a couple of hours around a child, she loved playing with her and gave her lots of puppy kisses. Like most puppies, she does jump up and is teething, so she has very sharp puppy teeth - supervised interactions with small children would be important at this stage.
TRAVEL:
Splice has only been in the car a couple of times, to and from the vet. She was very relaxed and happy to lay there quietly and take in her surroundings.
BATHING:
Splice is great in the bath, happy to sit there and let you give her a good scrub - also doesnât mind a little blow dry afterwards.
Splice is adored by her foster family and only the most loving forever home will be chosen for her.
Splice would love the following type of home - PLEASE do not apply if you have a small yard or an apartment
A decent size backyard with grass for her to run and play on that is securely fenced and shelter areas
A family that are willing to take her to puppy school and ongoing training and keep her well socialized all through her life with other dogs
A nice daily walks when immunized and old enough
Preferred home with a medium male dog who is very well socialised with others but kind and gentle with puppies (non dogs homes will also be considered)
Must be able to sleep indoors / under cover in a kennel or crate
.Her new family must understand puppies take time to settle in and all things puppy including crying, chewing and training is a must) puppies are a fair bit of work and his family must be committed to ensuring her develops to his full potential by raising her and training her
