About Xena
This beautiful girl has been through a world of suffering, and now is seeking a place of love and safety. She adores people and is happiest when she is with you, although she is content to stay home alone when necessary.
Having been severely mauled in her past, she is no longer confident around other dogs, and would prefer to be the only dog in the home. In time, I'm sure she will be willing to hang out with others, but while the external scars have healed, the internal ones are still a work in progress. At 34 kilos, she is a little tubby, however some regular exercise should help her to slim down a little.
Adoption details
(1) The first step is to fill in our online Adoption Questionnaire:
https://aus01a.sheltermanager.com/service?account=rc0442&method=online_form_html&formid=16
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we may arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The four week trial begins on the day of adoption.
We prefer payment by funds transfer or cash and don't accept personal cheques.
