Kelso is an absolute delight and his whole body wriggles in excitement to make up for his lack of tail. He is a typical working breed pup who likes to bounce, chew, dig, mouth and nip when overstimulated, so you need to be able to help him develop more acceptable methods of getting his wiggle beans out. He loves his walks and meeting new friends, he would make an excellent jogging buddy when he is fully grown. He is quite good at entertaining himself with toys but somehow they all end up exploding.

Giving ear licks and cuddles are his favourite things, whether he knows you or not. He has moments of timidness and wariness, usually when you want to catch him and he bounces away thinking a game of chasey is on the cards. He just loves to play, play, play. He does really need to learn appropriate social behaviours, as not everyone will like his exuberance. A compatible resident dog mentor will help teach him what he can get away with and what is too much.

Do your kids have dirty hands and faces? No problem! Kelso loves kids but will jump all over them and clean their faces, so any children need to be able to handle a zesty pup.

If there are cats in the household Kelso would be ok with that, he wants to be friends with everyone, but does see them as playmates, so if they run, he will chase. He is just super playful and still learning how to be accepted.

Whilst being without humans isn't his favourite thing he could manage if he had a playmate. If there is no canine companion then his humans need to be prepared to be around and be able to meet his physical and mental stimulation needs. He isn't a lazy or chilled dog and is always busy, seeking new things to see and do (and chew).

With his handsome looks, cheekiness, fun personality and zest for adventures, Kelso will make a very entertaining and rewarding new family member.
