About Fletcher
I'm a big, loving and gentle boy. Sadly I have hip dysplasia and a serious problem with my knees. The vet has advised that I could still have a good quality of life if I'm given the right care. I need to be kept quiet, and my weight low, so that the bones in my knees grow slower and hopefully fix the problem. I'm also on calcium (supplied) daily to help my bones.
The PAWS team could have put me to sleep, but I am the nicest of doggos and they'd love to see me have a second chance. Ideally I'd be best not to be rehomed with another dog though a quiet one may be OK (that won't jump up on me or play rough), and same with children.
I also need to be kept as quite a lazy couch-potato dog and not walked or run often until at least 14 months old.
Yes, I need a specific home, but I am sure it's out there and someone is waiting to fall in love with me. Could it be you?-
