About Oliver
Hi I’m Oliver, I found myself starved and dumped in a pound. I was placed on transport to make my journey to freedom when Belle Vie took me on. I was in terrible condition, only weighing 28kgs and covered in wounds. Now I’m happy healthy and thriving ready to find my forever family.
I absolutely adore other dogs, I do get a little over excited (and humpy),but once I settle everyone’s my best mate. I would do okay by myself, as long as I have adequate socialisation opportunities. I despise cats, so a home without any or away from them would be best for me.
I love people of all sizes, I am gentle with children. I am very affectionate and love to be close to you. I have the classic wolfhound jump/run!. I am known to keep myself occupied for ages throwing my toy and fetching it myself. I also love to roll on my back and have a good belly rub.
I am high energy and sometimes I get distracted which makes it difficult for me to concentrate on my training. So I will need a patient but firm family who can help me focus and continue my training. I’m not terrible walking on lead, but not amazing. I am working on getting better with the use of a harness.
I am crate trained and sleep well in my crate, both indoors and outdoors. I am good with my toileting and know to go before entering my crate for bedtime.

Applications are not approved on a first in, best dressed basis, rather we will assess on your suitability. Should we believe that the animal you have applied for may not suit your home or lifestyle, we will work with you until we find your perfect match.
Upon approval of your application, we will pass your contact details onto the carer and they will liaise with you to arrange a meet & handover.
