About Albert
Albert is still waiting for his forever home…
Albert
Approximately one-year-old
Mixed breed. Grey and tan in colour
Medium to large-sized (currently 22 kilograms).
Albert is very friendly, active and smart. This combination makes him a really fun dog to have around. He always loves to see people and greets them with a wagging tail, dancing feet and a wiggly body. He also enjoys the company of other dogs and loves wrestling and zooming with them. He’s quite gentle when playing with a puppy and a bit more boisterous when playing with dogs similar in age and size. He loves kids and plays quite well with them but can get a little excited and jump or paw at them which does need continual training.
He loves action. When it’s time for a walk Albert runs to the gate. He sits for his lead to be put on and is learning to sit and wait at the gate and not rush out. On lead he can walk on a loose lead about 80% of the time. He’s distracted by children and barking dogs but is very easy to train and is learning fast. He also loves to play fetch, tug and helps with the mowing and sweeping.
Albert is very smart so it makes him a lot of fun and quite easy to train. His intelligence combined with his friendly nature means he just wants to do what you want. However, his high energy level can make it a little hard for him to focus at times.
Albert’s ideal home will be active where he is walked daily, gets a lot of attention, trained regularly and mentally stimulated. Due to his active nature, if he gets bored he will chew things and dig holes. He would love a home with another dog for company and kids to play with and give him attention.
Albert is very interested in cats and very excited around them so he would need training if he was going to a home with a cat.
He is located in Wagga.
