About Nada
It can be quite difficult to see Nada as she is a very shy black cat who tends to hide in her carrier or her bed box where it’s dark.
Nada is uniquely cross-eyed and pear-shaped with a cute bob tail.
She was rescued from the street and has taken a few months to start relaxing at SAFE Haven but she will now sniff our hands which is a good sign. It is hard to predict how long it will take her to settle down in a new home but we expect that it could take a similar amount of time, even up to 6 months, but during this process she will be your quiet, unassuming, undemanding companion, happy to sit and watch until she’s sure she can trust you. Nada may never be a lap cat or like being picked up and held (but then again she might surprise us all!). It’s best to be surprised than to expect this of her.
It will be very important for Nada to be in her own room with a closed door and closed windows for quite a while so that she can explore every nook and cranny.
Nada has not had much exercise whilst at SAFE and as a result what she has eaten has gone straight to her waist! Hopefully in a home she will move around a lot more and this will resolve itself but meanwhile she will need to be on weight management food.
If the statements below describe you & your home, please come in to meet Nada or call us 0404 753 227.
I do not have children under 5 living at home
I have a secure room which will be Nada’s home and safe place for up to 6 months or as long as it takes before she feels comfortable with me
I am prepared to work at Nada’s pace to build up trust
Cat accessories such as carriers, litter trays, litter scoops, food bowls, etc. are all available for purchase at SAFE Haven, with all proceeds going back to the pets waiting to find their forever homes.
If Nada isn’t the cat for you please monitor our website for your perfect match!
