About Alaska
MEET ALASKA! (check out my videos!)
Alaska is a stunning medium fur, pure white female (little grey spot on her head!) she is approximately 10 months old. Alaska is desexed, vaccinated x2, microchipped and ready for her furrever home. She is looking for an INDOOR ONLY home due to her white coat and skin, she is prone to skin cancers, so an indoor home away from direct sunlight is a must.
Alaska was trapped wild living with her family on a rural property, she has since been vet worked and rehabilitated and is thriving in foster care! She is a really loving, sweet, quiet kitten that will fit into most households. Alaska LOVES other cats and she also likes dogs! She currently lives with 2 labrador's and has regular play dates with a JRT, so a home with another young, playful kitty friend for Alaska to bond with is a must.
We are looking for someone who loves Alaska for her beautiful personality and not just her beautiful looks, somewhere that will be patient and kind and give her the time and space she needs to feel comfortable and safe in her new environment, as she was trapped as a stray she may need a little extra time to settle in compared to house-raised kitties, though she is doing fantastically in foster care and isn't afraid of strangers.
Alaska would be best with older kids that won't frighten her, kids that would loveeee to spend time playing with her! She has lots of love and affection to give and we know anyone who meets her will fall in love with her sweet personality!
*Alaska is INDOOR ONLY for life please only apply for her if this is suitable for your home
*When applying for Alaska, please tell us about yourself and why you think she would be the purrfect fit for your home.
*Alaska would prefer to live with older kids
*Alaska is good with other cats and dogs (a home with another cat for Alaska to bond with is ideal!)
Medical notes
Alaska is a healthy young kitten, as she is not yet 12 months old she requires a premium quality kitten diet, we recommend royal canin, hills science diet or advance.
Adoption details
Thank you for your interest in a rescue cat! They can make the most wonderful friends and family members.
Our rescue cats have varied histories and stories and as such they each require a different home environment, we ask prospective adopters a series of questions aimed at making the perfect match so please dont be offended when asked questions. We do not adopt to a first in first serve basis and only adopt to the most suitable home possible. If you are outside Ballarat we ask that you make time to have a 30 minute video-chat with us and the kitty you are interested in so we can get to know you a little better and you can see the kitty in its home environment before coming up to Ballarat to adopt, if you are local then we hold a meet and greet at the foster home of the kitty. We only offer video chats and meet and greets to the most suitable homes.
All of our cats at Cat Lovers Ballarat are rehomed as strictly INDOOR ONLY cats and we ask that all prospective adopters only apply if they are capable and comfortable with this.
Please have patience with us as we go through all applications and make our decisions to move onto phase 2 and offer meet and greets, this can take days and sometimes a week to go through, you will be contacted whether you are successful or not.
Thank you again for your interest in one of our rescue cats!
