Satellite is an affectionate girl who loves snuggles, hugs and pats. A companion is her absolute favourite thing. Satellite will suit a home with a family and children that can deal with her excitable love fuelled bouncing (she is learning not to jump and getting better every single day). She definitely wants another heartbeat to be with and doesn’t cope well without company.

Satellite loves a good game of zoomies with her foster sister (kelpie x) and they play together beautifully. Tug of war, wrestling, chasey and snoozes on the couch are some of their favourite activities together. Although Satellite is still a pup she can’t quite match that kelpie energy and stamina! It seems Satellites absolute favourite past time is testing the durability of every dog toy by chomping and chewing until it’s in itty bitty pieces. She can be a bit of a stealth ninja with this so making sure she actually knows the difference between a dog toy and your belongings is a must.

Satellite is very food driven and is already responding to simple commands like “sit”. Her toilet training is on point. She is really eager to please and very clever so will be great with continued training. She is a little jumpy but already doing much better with this since her couple of weeks with us, Satellite is not mouthy at all!

Satellite is currently living with another young kelpie x, 1 child (8) 1 x teen (13), 2 adults, 2 cats and a rabbit. Satellite has noticed the rabbit but seems indifferent (although bunny is in a hutch around the dogs) the cats are a different story, Satellite loves them! As in she wants to meet and greet at full speed (we are making progress with this). It’s well intentioned and I see no aggression just unbridled excitement, but the cats aren’t thrilled by her approach. I think with continued training she will be good with cats but at the moment she is too enthusiastic.

Satellite is the QUEEN of excavating and super proud of her efforts! If you have garden beds that need the soil turning she’ll have it sorted in no time..if you’re in love with your gorgeous green grass and award winning roses she may not be the best fit for your home. A home with space to run would be great with someone home all or most of the time as this girl needs her pack. Satellite will make a brilliant pet for a loving, inclusive family willing to continue general training and socialising. She is super affectionate and loves nothing more than a snuggle on the couch. Satellite is absolutely ready for her forever home, so if you have a staffy sized vacant spot on your couch and in your heart, this girl can fill it with warmth and love.
