About Daisy
*In foster care in Pyrmont, Sydney*
Daisy is surely one of Sydney's cutest kitties! She's a total love bug - cuddling up to sleep with you at night, and taking her daytime naps close by. A good brisk belly rub is one of her favourite things, and she'll flop onto her back to demand them!
As a mature lady, Daisy does need plenty of beauty sleep - but she's certainly not opposed to the occasional bout of play with her humans. Not for too long, though! This chonky girl is definitely more lounge lizard than athlete.
Daisy has had some medical concerns while in foster care.
Daisy had recurring UTIs that were resolved after several bladder stones were removed. Since the stones were removed Daisy enjoys urinary food to help keep everything in check and she's had no more problem in that area.
Daisy has a low grade heart murmur that has been investigated by a specialist and deemed to be low risk and does not require any medication. It is recommended that she has an ECG repeated annually to monitor the condition.
Daisy has had some eye ulcers while in care that have been treated and have resolved. Due to her breed, her eyes should be carefully monitored for any signs of problems.
None of Daisy's medical concerns effect her current quality of life and she is a happy and well adjusted companion.
Like all Maggie's pets, Daisy is microchipped, desexed and vaccinated.

MY IDEAL HOME: Will be quiet and calm, as I can get spooked by sudden loud noises and fast motions. I love looking outside and smelling the fresh air, so a sunny window with a secure screen would be awesome! I also like having a safe place to retreat to, such as a dark wardrobe, a box or under the bed.
MY ENERGY LEVEL: Pretty low! Though I'll have random bursts of energy and play time, I just sleep and eat for the most part :) I do crave human company though. I can happily occupy myself when you're out of the house, but be prepared to pay lots of attention to me on your return!
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: I haven't spent time around small children, but I'm quite sensitive to noise and fuss so children over the age of 8 will probably be the best match.
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: I used to live with a dog and we got along just fine! That was a while ago and I do enjoy being an only child now, but I could be open to having a furry friend again.

Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
Please consider, that a Maggie's Pet is a pet for Life, before adopting.
