Oh hey. You ever get the feeling you wanna get all squishy and squashy with someone? Y'know with lots of head boops and rubbing and purring that makes you go all wiggly inside? I'm not ashamed to admit it, I'm a smoosher from way back, Smoosh by name and by nature. I might not sit on your lap, but I will take all the smooshy, squishy, sguiggly petting and love you can give me.

I'm kinda cute too right? I mean c'mon, long silky white fur marked with splotches of black. This black and white look is very of the moment, but also an enduring classic. I'm long of whisker and fluffy of tail. I wouldn't say I'm Mr Super Handsome, but I sure do classy debonair to a T. And whenever you've got homework to do or bills to pay, I'm your guy at the ready. Always here to lend a paw to get the job done. Oh, was I sitting right on the papers? Pardon me, I was only trying to 'help'. While you're there, wanna give me a scratch on these rather fabulous perky ears? And is that a cardboard box over there? S'cuse me, while I get comfy in it. Best bed ever!

I'm the pretty easy-going type. Other cats don't faze me too much and I reckon I'll settle into your home fast. You got toys? Don't stress, I come with a whole, free boxful (think of it as my extra special gift to you) that will continue to make me very happy at playtime at your place. So whaddya say? You ready for a smooshy puss like me? I'm the smoosh man and I really want to come home to your house. Will you make me smooshily happy and make an enquiry about me today? Smoosh is a healthy male cat. He has been wormed, flea treated, vaccinated, desexed and microchipped (microchip #953010005598529, source #RE101165). He is available for adoption right now!

We are run by volunteers. We check enquiries three times a day and try to respond within 24 hours. If you want us to follow up, you can text the Cat Phone on 0415-241-211.
To adopt from us you'll be required to have minimum an online meet & greet, a remote house check, show photo ID & proof of address, and fill out & sign an adoption contract.
Our animals are fully vet checked, flea treated, wormed, vaccinated and desexed before being advertised. They are evaluated for behavioural traits, fed a high-quality diet, and any known issues are communicated. NOT NEGOTIABLE CONDITIONS: indoor only/restrained to property & must be fed raw or vet prescription wet food.
We will communicate through every step of the process to ensure that the experience is excellent and your feline companion is the right fit. Read the contract for T&Cs for returns.
You must have residency in Australia to adopt from Cat People of Melbourne. If you are visiting or on a visa, talk to us about fostering instead!
