About Jersey and Jenna
Get ready to meet Jersey and Jenna!
This mother and son are so bonded and snuggly, we couldn't possibly separate them.
Jersey and Jenna were rescued with 5 younger kittens when they all turned up in someone’s backyard! Shelly’s Place took in all 7 and the youngest 5 have all found their forever homes. Now it's Jenna and Jersey's turn!
Jersey and Jenna love being around people more than anything else, and love all the cuddles and the pats. They have claimed the couch space at their foster carer's place as their own, and they're too darn cute, they just can't bear to move them when they're sleeping!
Jersey likes his toys, but he’d much rather chill on the couch, curled up in a lap with continuous pats to be had.
If you’re looking for a calm, relaxed little love bug pair, Jersey and Jenna are your purrfect match! They're not the most active cats, they prefer cuddling on the couch with some nighttime Netflix over zoomies. But they do like to paw a feather toy too!
Our cats and kittens are desexed, 1st vaccinated, microchipped, worm and flea treated before going to their new homes.

Adoption details
ADOPTION PROCESS:
1. An Adoption enquiry should be made via the JotForm.
https://form.jotform.com/shellys.place.rescue/adoption-enquiry
2. Once your application has been received, one of our volunteers will contact you for a phone interview. This is to determine whether one of our cats or kittens will be a good fit for your home. We all want long-term success in placing rescue animals, so finding the best fit for the animal AND the family is very important.
3. 'Meet & Greet' with the animal and their carer will then take place if the application is approved.
4. A Property check will take place via a video call (due to Covid restrictions). Once this has been successfully completed, adoption paperwork finalised and the adoption donation processed, the pet can be collected from foster care.
5. A 14 day settling-in period commences once the animal has been collected from foster care.
6. Adoption is finalised after 14 days. Paperwork/records will be included in an adoption pack.
7. All animals for adoption are kept up to date with vet work until the date of adoption. The pet will be rehomed desexed, vaccinated, microchipped and treated monthly for fleas and intestinal worms. Once the adoption is finalised, the new owners are responsible for all vaccinations and preventative treatments.
As we are run entirely of volunteers we endeavour to respond to your enquiry as soon as we can. Your patience is greatly appreciated.
PLEASE NOTE: We are unable to hold any animals. Please only apply if you are ready to adopt now.
