NOTE: You are unable to meet Devon until/unless you have been notified that you are a successful applicant. An adoption cannot be approved unless you are able to come to the shelter to meet Devon in person and bring any dogs you currently have with you.


What I need in my new home:
• Daily walks, trips to the park or beach, playtime in the backyard
• Further training with basic doggie manners
• To be allowed inside with my family
• A doggie playmate would be great, if not then lots of socialising with other dogs. However, I do tend to play rough with other dogs and they often don't like that so I need a playmate who will match my energy levels.
• No cats as I may find them fun to chase
• Secure Fencing (6ft Colorbond or equivalent) Photos of fencing must be emailed to support your application as Devon like to go exploring on his own so solid high fencing and gates are a MUST.
• Lots of toys and mental stimulation - I LOVE playing fetch
• A diet of good quality dry food to help keep my teeth clean
• Lots of love and attention - I just want a family who will spend lots of time with me.
• No young children as when I'm excited I get very bouncy and mouthy, older children who will be involved with my training should be ok.
• I have lots of energy so an active family is a must
• I am a clever, young and active doggo - I would be great for dog training, trick training, agility etc.

Things that I don't want in my new home:
• To be left alone in the backyard without any interaction
• Not to be allowed inside with my family
• Never to go on a walk or rides in the car
• Small children due to being mouthy & bouncy
• Cats or small animals as I may find them fun to chase

My best features:
• Very playful
• Wiggle butt
• Highly food motivated
• Gentle & placid
• I can sit on command
• I love attention and having snuggles with my humans
• Happy to hang out with other dogs who are as playful as me
• Social butterfly
• I am clever and eager to learn so would love a family who will teach me some cool tricks using food as a reward
• I LOVE toys, playing fetch and a game of tug-o-war
• I love attention, hugs, kisses & head scratches

Where I need to improve / Training required
• I love my food & toys so using them as a positive reward should make my training easier.
• I can be strong on the lead - training and walking me in a halti or harness may stop this
• I may show signs of anxiety when I'm left alone in the backyard. Leaving me some enrichment toys/treats may help this.
