About Dora
Introducing.. Dora the Explorer!
Dora and her siblings was born in a rubbish skip at a junk yard. Her mother was a feral cat who gave birth under an old mattress in the skip. The kittens were unable to escape the skip's high walls and so mama cat raised her babies in amongst the trash until the lucky day a concerned worker discovered their sad situation.
It was assessed that all the many cats living on site were at risk of being injured or crushed under the junk being dumped so the entire feral colony were trapped by our rescue and relocated to our sanctuary where we are working hard to socialise them so they can all find homes.
All of the cats and kittens were very scared of people and some were even quite aggressive but it seems Dora didn't get the memo.. someone forgot to tell her that she's meant to be feral!!
From the second she was scooped out of the trap, Dora was friendly and affectionate. She loves cuddles and actively seeks out human attention. She purrrs her little heart out and soaks up all the kisses she can get.
Dora is also very much the explorer. She is curious and independent. She wants to investigate everything and leaves no adventure untaken.
Due to how quickly she has adjusted to domestic cat life, cheeky little Dora is the first of her rescued buddies to be ready for her forever home.
Do you have room in your heart and home for this gorgeous girl?
Dora's adoption fee will be $350 which covers the cost of her desexing surgery, microchip and vaccination. She will come with a bag of food and her favourite litter.
We are making great progress with all of the cats in our care and will soon have 8 more cute kittens and 5 lovely adults cats also ready for adoption.
Please get in touch if you are interested in meeting Dora or any of her siblings and extended family!
Thank you ❤️ 🐈⬛
