LAYNIE
Hi everyone, my name is Laynie, and I am a sweet, loveable big, black, beautiful Dane. I am 16 months old and very friendly. I would love to tell you some more about myself.
My foster family have been very good to me and have made me feel welcome and treated me as a member of their family. It’s time now for me to find my furever family.
I love going for walks except when it rains. I am not a great walker on a lead however I am getting better, and I am also having some professional training. I love playing with other dogs, I am not aggressive just playful. I haven’t met any small dogs so that may be interesting.
Car rides are the best. I look out the window for a while and then just relax and fall asleep. I can get in and out of the car myself. I am ok alone at home for a few hours, to pass the time, I like to collect shoes. I never chew them, I just breath in their scent. I am incredibly happy when you come home and will give you a big welcome.
I am great behind a 6ft fence, it keeps me safe and secure. Just so you know, if you leave the gate open, I will run off to explore. I am not destructive, the only thing I will chew are tissues, love tissues.
I am not a barker, nor am I food motivated so training with treats doesn’t work for me. I do know some commands such as wait, sit, “out of the kitchen” (that’s the first one I learnt). I am not that good at “come” but I am getting better. I am toilet trained however I am not fussed on going outside and getting my feet wet in the rain.
I have met big kids and get along well with them, in fact I think I would love them. I am unsure about little kids so a home with kids over ten or just adults would be great. I have been around ducks and chickens; they interest me a lot. I doubt I would ever want to eat one but I would love to play chase with them.
