About Peppa ~ Staffy X Puppy(On Trial 24/6/22)
Peppa is a 12 week old Staffy X puppy who is an absolute delight to have around the home. She brings enthusiasm and joy where ever she goes.
Peppa likes nothing more than to snuggle up to her humans on the lounge, in bed or even at your feet when sitting on a chair.
She is having a wonderful time playing with her foster brother, Samson, also a staffy X. She loves his attention and is learning how to behave from him.
She hasn't been tried with other dogs, cats or babies yet, as she hasn't completed her course of vaccinations.
She will grow into quite a medium sized but strong dog, so please consider your circumstances both now and in the long term and do some research on what is involved in caring for, living with and training this breed of dog prior to submitting an application.
Training is critical for Peppa to grow into the best dog she can be. As a strong breed, the consequences of behavioural issues are bigger so you will need to commit to puppy training and ongoing socialisation and training using positive reinforcement to ensure they don’t develop. Peppa is a very responsive pup who is eager to please and easy to reward. Therefore a family with older children who can help with this training would be ideal.
Peppa would love a home where she is not left alone too much so she doesn’t get lonely and stressed. Ideally her owner would be home most of the time and she would love a friendly adult dog as a teacher and playmate. She will need to be welcomed as a member of the family, with access to indoors and a yard to run around in with secure fencing that is at least 6ft tall with no gaps. She will need regular walks for exercise and mental stimulation.
As Peppa is not yet desexed, she is only available for adoption to residents of Newcastle, Hunter Valley, Central Coast and Port Stephens because she will need to be returned to our vet for desexing when she is five months old. This is not negotiable.
