About Bonnie ~ 7yr Old Cattle Dog X(On Trial 2/8/22)
Is your family looking for an affectionate furgirl to love? Then you need to run not walk to meet Bonnie. Bonnie is a loving, 7yr Old Cattle Dog X with a stunning brown and white coat. This placid and sweet girl is searching for the perfect home to share a lap with, and be the most amazing companion dog there ever was.
Bonnie, while very affectionate and loving, can be a little timid on first introductions. But once you have gained a little of her trust, your lap will never be cold again. She loves to be everywhere you are throughout the day, and would absolutely love to be a part of every facet of family life. She absolutely ADORES big raw hide bones, but doesn't seem to be overly keen on toys. With your help, she will soon discover the joy of Tug "o" War or Fetch.
Bonnie would be best suited as an only pet, as she doesn't have the confidence and experience around many other pets. She would suit a family where someone is home more often than not, and who understand that Bonnie is an inside dog, and must be allowed inside the home to spend those precious moments with you and her family. Perks for having a doggy door for Bonnie to use so she can let herself in and out when needed. She would not suit a home where people are away for many hours of the day consistently, and who do not like to have an inside dog. Bonnie walks well on the lead, but does require some more training when other dogs approach. We recommend engaging with a dog trainer to help Bonnie gain some confidence with other dogs and how to be happy and content walking past, near or with others.
Bonnie is good with kids, who are respectful of dogs, and keeps her feet on the ground. We feel she would be best suited to slightly older children 5years and over, with dog savvy children being highly preferrable. Bonnie will not suit households who like to go to the dog park, or large open areas with lots of other dogs. She will need further training and assistance in gaining her confidence and how to introduce herself properly to others.
Bonnie will require a few weeks to settle into her new family home. She is a life time commitment of 10-15years, so please consider your circumstances before considering applying. She deserves a forever, happy, loving home where she is welcomed and adored as she most certainly deserves to be.
