Ava

Please meet Miss AVA, a young White Swiss Shepherd mix who would make a perfect companion dog. She was born in December 2020.

Ava is a very affectionate and people-focused girl. She loves the company of humans and took no time at all in settling into her new foster. Pats and tummy scratches will have that effect on her.

She's also good with other dogs, but much prefers people to her own kind and would probably prefer to be the only dog so that she doesn't have to share the love and attention.

She is untested with cats.

Ava is intelligent, highly trainable and very keen to please. She knows her basic commands and can shake hands. She's not yet accustomed to her new name of "Ava", but as she came to us via the pound, we don't know her original name. She walks quite well on a lead.

She's very definitely an inside-outside dog and is house-trained.

At 26 kgs, Ava is a robust and athletic girl and will do best in an active home where she has plenty of daily exercise and mental stimulation and where she is regarded as an integral part of the family. She is not suited to full-time workers. As always, secure fencing is a must.

Preference will be given to homes where someone is around most of the time or there is another compatible dog, ideally a male, for Ava to play with. Prior experience with working dog breeds will be highly regarded. As always, secure fencing is essential.

Her adoption fee is $550 and she is desexed, vaccinated and microchipped.
