About Quince
Meet Quince. A super cute, very affectionate, respectful boy that will give you the best cuddles!
He likes to be patted and hugged and he likes to be a lap dog if allowed. He'll make an awesome snuggle buddy on the couch while watching tv and even a good hot water bottle on colder nights!
Quince is smart and quick to pick things up. He's very obedient for such a young age. Such a smart little cookie, he's learnt to sit in no time and recall is not bad either. He is very responsive when you talk to him. Currently learning other things like "leave it", crate training and calming down for nap time. Toilet training is progressing really well too.
He sleeps through the night very well, but might need to offer him a toilet break if you hear him waking up and will then go back to bed straight after. Leash walking is also progressing well and he has been out on a couple of short walks and doesn't mind his lead.
Out and about, he is curious about the big world, but at the same time he makes sure you're there too. He explores by stopping, sitting down and observing. Walks on lead very well taking into account he's been out only a couple of times. He's interested in what's happening around him, but at the same time he's being cautious.Continued positive social interactions will help build his comfort in new places and with new people. He's very happy to explore the backyard by himself or together with his foster sister. He's very playful and good with his foster sister and he loves to play chase or tugo o war in the backyard. Does not like or understand guinea pigs that he has seen just in a cage.
Quince is easy if you're working from home and will happily play with his toys by himself if not snoozing at your feet. He enjoys food out of Kong in the crate, sniff mat and other food puzzles. Also just scattering kibble around makes him work for it and not eat it within 2 seconds.
Quince has been getting used to the car and can travel secured in the back seat by himself. He'll be a great travel companion and would enjoy a family that will take him out on all the outings and adventures.
He has great potential to be the best dog, so he needs a family that is committed to his further development. A family that will socialise him, take him to puppy school, offer ongoing mental stimulation not just physical. And of course family that will give him all the love in the world as he will grow into this big cuddly teddy bear.
He requires a home with another playful dog at home for company and or someone home most days. He does like being inside and outside equally and definitely needs to be a mostly inside dog where his family will let him cuddle on the couch, sleep in front of the heater etc. His personality wouldn't suit someone who would keep him outside by himself most of the time as he's so affectionate. He will be a very loyal dog to his family.

Don't see a breed attached to one of our dogs? That's because we don't breed label dogs of unknown genetic history. We can't guess at breeds but that's okay, because we can tell you about the dog's individual personality, character, and behaviour.
