About Nellie
DUE TO TESTING POSITIVE FOR E.CANIS (TICK DISEASE) AND CURRENTLY BEING TREATED. I CAN ONLY BE ADOPTED WITHIN THE FOLLOWING REGIONS, THE KIMBERLEY, GASCOYNE, MID WEST AND THE PILBARA. PLEASE DO NOT APPLY IF YOU LIVE IN THE PERTH AREA OR THE SOUTHWEST.
Hi I am Nellie, I am a super excited puppy who has two speeds. Very very fast or stopped. I will do just about anything for a belly rub and will stop straight away if they are on offer. I am still a puppy and am definitely learning my manners. I will need someone who can spend time with me to help me learn. I can sit and fetch and am pretty keen to learn new tricks if it means I might get a treat! I love to help with the gardening and might have dug a few holes when I wanted some attention. My family has lots of pot plants and hanging baskets and so far I have pretty much ignored them! I have started to become more interested in the two cats at my foster home but haven't tried playing with them yet as they scare me a bit! I am learning to go for a walk and prefer to use a harness. I have soft velvety ears, a licky tongue and love to hang on top of my foster family. I really am looking for someone who can spend a bit of time with me and rub my belly!
Want to know more about how you teach a pup to be a great dog? I'd like to do training every day so that I learn the commands of sit, stay, come, down, no, stop and leave it. And once I've learnt them, I need to keep practicing them every day too. That way I'll learn to obey what you tell me to do. Being consistent and clear with your boundaries will mean I always know the right way to behave. Getting out to exercise at least once a day (and twice for working dog breeds) is vital to stimulate my brain and body. It creates important opportunities for me to meet strangers, other dogs and other animals, plus it tires me out! Tell me ""no"" if I'm chewing something I shouldn't and give me a chew toy instead. I'd love to have a range of chew toys that you can swap around so I don't get bored with them.
