About Leeder
Hi everyone, my name is Leeder but it is not my spelling, maybe someone was dyslexic along the way. Anyway, I could have been called Harlequin with the many colours in my coat. Speaking of changing, my carer says that in the couple of months they have had me I have put on some kilos and matured into a wonderful family dog. I am not too big, about 30kg but live outside mostly and just love family life! I am a shadow for my people when outside and love to be involved in whatever is happening. I play happily with a young pup of a human who is four years old he tells me and we are best buddies. My carer says I have a very gentle nature and the patience of a saint. I do still have the occasional 'zoomie', but hey I am a puppy still really, but an old soul at the same time.
I have heard my carer say I am a favourite with the vets because I am such a good boy and never a hassle to do anything with. My temperament is second to none, apparently! I don't dig or chew when left at home and I am not a barker/whiner- but if I do bark, it has only been for legitimate reasons and I don't keep it up like some trophy dogs do. I do love to come inside for cuddles but I am basically an outside dog - I prefer to sleep in my own bed. I know my basic commands - sit, down, stay, wait, heel, roll over and paw. My recall in public places with lots of distractions needs work but I am smart and it will get better with age and more practice. I am house trained as well. I would benefit from ongoing training with socialization as this was missed in my early days and I get excited around other dogs as I like to play a lot. My CV shows that I love riding on the back of the ute, enjoy a swim at the beach with my humans, and I just love to go fishing and camping (never stray) and overall I just enjoy everything that involves my people. I am an all-rounder and would suit many types of homes and will be the perfect companion and addition.
