About Nigel
Nigel is a British Bulldog only 7 months of age. He was born with spina bifida, this makes him incontinent, and also affects his balance/mobility (to a lesser extent).
Nigel loves to be out in the garden with you helping to mow the lawns or will happily sun bathe and watch you. Finding a forever home for Nigel where he can spend a good part of the day outside hanging 'nappy-free' with his buddies is essential. We appreciate this isn't easy to find given the QLD summer, and freezing winter we are currently experiencing all down the East coast of Australia.
Nigel loves to play with other dogs and needs another friendly dog (preferably female) to keep him company during the day. Nigel has even made friends with the chickens next door at his foster home.
Nigel really enjoys an afternoon walk with his human(s), this is also important to build up his rear muscles to maximise his mobility. And when inside morning / night / overnight Nigel will need to wear a nappy.
It's been chilly even in QLD of late but Nigel will put up a wrestle when trying to put a jacket on him.

Medical notes
Nigel has spina bifida, this is a lifelong spinal condition (since birth) that makes him incontinent and affects his mobility.
Nigel still gets around well, but does need regular walks to keep building his muscle tone.
As a result of being incontinent, Nigel needs regular time outside during the day in a safe & secure area when he can be 'free' and also not out in the summer heat. When inside, Nigel needs to wear a nappy and have this changed regularly.
Nigel needs his very specific diet to help regulate his bowel movements of Royal Canin Gastrointestinal High Fibre.

Applicants will be assessed in terms of best suitability for the dog. A meet & greet and yard inspection are essential parts of the screening process.
The first 2 weeks for every adoption is a trial period to ensure that both the dog and family are a good match. And once everyone is happy the dog's microchip will be changed across to the new family.
