About Fluffy
Fluffy is an adorable elderly cat (aged 16) who is looking for a new home after his owner sadly passed away. Despite his age, Fluffy is highly affectionate and playful and once he feels at home, will try to sit on you at every opportunity. He loves attention and getting tickles but can become over-excited, particularly if you touch his tummy, which can cause him to hiss and swipe, so he needs an owner who will be patient with him and who understands that this is just his way of communicating. He has two cute tricks, sticking out his tongue, and standing up on his back legs like a meerkat, sometimes both at the same time!
He prefers to sleep fully covered up, so he would appreciate a cave style bed with a cushion in it so he can burrow underneath and make a cosy nest for himself. As you would expect of an older cat, Fluffy loves to sleep, and is perfectly happy spending the day on his own, napping and chilling out. However, when he’s up and about he is full of energy and will follow you around the house. He would be an ideal pet for someone who works full time as he is happy to sleep all day on his own but will been keen for play time and cuddles in the evening.
Fluffy is fully litter trained and is not a fussy eater, although he doesn’t tend to go for food straight away and prefers to nibble throughout the day. He has no known health issues and has recently been examined by the vet who removed a few teeth and ensured his vaccinations are up to date (his next vaccination is due in July). He has also just been desexed and has fully recovered and adjusted well. It seems to have made him even more smoochy and affectionate and has relaxed him, meaning he is less over-excitable.
He has not been tested with dogs, but has experience living with other cats.
