If you were at Cat Lovers last Sunday you would have met Peanut Butter and Truffle at our stand and also at Pat A Cat... these two cutie pies were absolute superstars. So what's their story?
Peanut Butter and Truffle were the kittens of a kitten of a cat called Lily who was left behind when the owners moved. Why Mummy Lily was abandoned, we don't know because Lily is an outstandingly lovely and affectionate cat, and so are all her kittens. Lily and her quickly growing family were fed by caring neighbours who called us in to help when it got to the third generation. Why didn't they call us sooner? Kids at school had told this caring family's children that if the cats were handed in, they'd be killed. The children of the family were very upset, but eventually agreed that it was best for Lily and her family to be rehomed responsibly as they couldn't look after all of them. So that's how Peanut Butter and Truffle came into care with Cat People of Melbourne!

Peanut Butter is also called Bright Eyes, because he's always bright eyed and ready for anything. Playtime? oh yes! Cuddles, bring them on. Food? Heck yes! This bright eyed floofster is full of life and fur. His bestie and short haired sister Truffle is a gentler personality and prefers cuddles on the couch, gentle tummy rubs and playtime with treats rewards. These exceptionally lovely kittens are looking for a home together, they have grown up with children of all ages and a small nervous chihuahua but not big dogs. Peanut Butter & Truffle are healthy kittens who have been wormed, flea treated, vaccinated and microchipped (Peanut Butter microchip #953010100419931, Truffle microchip #953010100008347, source #RE101165). He is available for PRE adoption. A deposit can be made to hold the kitten until he is ready for adoption. Adoption is not available till the animal has reached 1 kg in weight and vet work/desexing has been completed and healed.

To adopt from us you'll be required to have minimum an online meet & greet, a remote house check, show photo ID & proof of address, and fill out & sign an adoption contract.
Our animals are fully vet checked, flea treated, wormed, vaccinated and desexed before being advertised. They are evaluated for behavioural traits, fed a high-quality diet, and any known issues are communicated. NOT NEGOTIABLE CONDITIONS: indoor only/restrained to property & must be fed raw or vet prescription wet food.
We will communicate through every step of the process to ensure that the experience is excellent and your feline companion is the right fit. Read the contract for T&Cs for returns.
You must have residency in Australia to adopt from Cat People of Melbourne. If you are visiting or on a visa, talk to us about fostering instead!
