About Koa
This big handsome boofa is Koa. Koa is a great young boy, still in the puppy stage. He is fostered in a home with kids, and with a bit of training and patience will make a wonderful family dog. Koa hasn't had much in the way of training up until now, but is responding well with his SAFE carer. He will need ongoing training and boundaries in his new home as he is an excitable fella with lots of energy. He is very friendly and does jump up although seems to know not to jump up at children, which is a positive.
Koa loves playing fetch in the yard, and will definitely need active owners who have the time to give him a good walk/run every day too, to use up his energy and keep him happy and healthy. He likes other dogs so could make a great second dog - and we are told grew up in a home with cats, whom he tolerated well but would chase if they ran from him.
Koa can't tell what is one of his chew toys and what is your favourite shoe or even his lead, so he will need lots of enrichment toys and will certainly ensure you put your shoes and the kids' toys away every day!
Koa hasn't spent much time indoors but we are hoping he will integrate well into family life and become a loved furr-kid in his new home. A household with someone around at least part of the day would be great while he's still young and needing that human interaction. He's a lovable goofball who certainly deserves his second chance at happiness.
If you like big, goofy pups, have a bit of a sense of humour and enjoy training your dog and watching the results of your love and time come to fruition, then lovely, handsome Koa might be your new best buddy!
