📌 An active and energetic home

📌 A home who will provide boundaries and ongoing training
Buck is an extremely energetic and affectionate boy. He needs a home that is willing to commit to ongoing training and give him the love and attention he needs. A home without children or children no younger than 15 is preferred as he isn’t aware of his size and is quite strong. Buck would prefer to be the only pet in a household as he gets anxious around other animals and can sometimes be forcefully playful particularly towards animals smaller than him.
Buck is a very strong medium sized dog who weighs 21kg. He is generally mouthy and will lick anything he can get his mouth near. He’s very sweet and loves spend time in the sun. If the opportunity to sit on someone and cuddle comes up he will take it.
Buck responds well to commands such as “sit”, “stay” and “out” but he can get easily distracted and loses focus with groups of people and when meeting new people as he’s overly excited. Buck is good on walks. He responds to “stay” before crossing roads and he doesn’t pull on the lead unless there’s other animals around (or his own reflection). Buck loves treats and will “sit” and “wait” on command before eating. Buck can get a little jumpy and cheeky and will occasionally jump on you or on chairs to be closer to you, although, he is getting better each day.
Buck has separation anxiety but he does alright on his own. He may sook and bark for the first couple minutes when you leave him but after he will find ways to entertain himself. Buck is slowly learning that’s it’s okay to be by himself. He has now learnt how to sit and wait at the door and doesn’t stress when he sees the door closing anymore. But he is always happiest when his humans are in sight. He doesn’t need a huge yard, just a small area where he can see what his owners are up to. Buck does need high fences because he’s very clever and will try find a way to follow you when you leave the house. Buck is toilet trained.
