NOTE: You are unable to meet Axel until/unless you have been notified that you are a successful applicant. An adoption cannot be approved unless you are able to come to the shelter to meet Axel in person and bring any dogs you currently have with you.


What I need in my new home:
• BREED KNOWLEDGE IS PREFERRED
• Daily walks, trips to the park or beach, playtime in the backyard
• Further training with basic doggie manners
• To be allowed inside with my family
• Lots of toys and mental stimulation
• A diet of good quality dry food to help keep my teeth clean
• I am very reactive to dogs when i am on lead, i am better off lead but i can still be naughty at times.
• Lots of love and attention
• No young children as when I'm excited I get very bouncy and mouthy, older children who will be involved with my training should be ok.
• I have lots of energy so an active family is a must
• I appeared scared of cats when meeting them at the shelter however once my confidence around them grows I might be more inquisitive. If going to a home with a cat they must be dog savvy and we must be introduced slowly.
• TRAINING TRAINING TRAINING. It's ESSENTIAL I receive training in all aspects of my life so I can be the best dog I can be.


Things that I don't want in my new home:
• To be left alone in the backyard without any interaction
• Not to be allowed inside with my family
• Never to go on a walk or rides in the car
• Small children due to being mouthy & bouncy
- Other dogs, i am very selective in who im friends with.


My best features:
• Very playful
• Wiggle butt
• I can sit
• I love attention and having snuggles with my humans

• Exuberant & full of beans
• Housetrained and used to being allowed inside
• I am VERY scent driven and would excel at scent driven games & training.
• I love toys especially my ball, playing fetch and tug rope

Where I need to improve / Training required
• I appear to be quiet vocal at times - a family who has a lot of time for me, allow me indoors and leave me with lots of mental enrichment when home alone is recommended, I also think its fun to bark at people and dogs that go past.
• I do walk quite well on the lead once settled, however I can pull if something interests me and can be quite skittish if startled so walking in a harness is recommended.
• I can be mouthey when playing or when I want something you have (food, toys ect.)

ANY EXISTING DOGS AT HOME MUST COME TO THE SHELTER TO MEET AXEL BEFORE AN ADOPTION CAN BE APPROVED
