Cornetto

Hi my name is Cornetto and I am a gorgeous 10 week old Heeler X girl looking for my forever home. I am the sweetest girl you will ever meet – I am loving, playful and kind!

Current weight 6.8 kilos

Based on her current weight we feel Cornetto will be a medium size girl once fully grown.

Cornetto is a soft girl, very sweet natured and loves a big cuddle. Cornetto is affectionate but also quite independent – she loves nothing more than a good play outside and then a good long nap! Cornetto is very well behaved and has been a pleasure to care for. Sometimes she will sit and stare at you through the glass door and give a stare when she wants your attention. Cornetto has super puppy model looks and you will fall in love with her at first sight.

Food

Cornetto is currently eating three meals a day consisting of premium puppy dry food and either cooked chicken or rice. Cornetto loves her food and is not a fussy eater. She eats her meals with her siblings and they share each other’s bowls (because someone else’s food is always better than you own when you are a pup) Cornetto will come running at meal time and beforehand she will sit and watch you prepare the meal

Sleeping

Cornetto loves sleeping with her 2 siblings in a covered crate. She sleeps through the night and normally goes to bed around 10pm and will not wake until about 7 am. They have access to a run and may need a toilet run during the night. During the day she will snuggle up with one of her siblings in a round dog bed at the back door.

Toileting/Training/walking

Cornetto is continuing to learn about toilet training and has access to the garden at night and both garden and grassed area during the day. Like a typical puppy she has had the occasional accident if she has been too long inside. Cornetto is also just a little unsure of the doggy door, but we are training her to use it with treats. It will be important for you to encourage her to go outside once she wakes up from sleeping or taking a nap.

Cornetto can currently sit on command and will take food gently from your hand. It will be important that she goes to puppy school to further her training.

Due to her age and not being fully vaccinated Cornetto has not practiced being on a lead yet. She will need ongoing use of the lead and would benefit from learning from other dogs. We also take her out the front to get her used to seeing new things like cars driving past and people/dogs out walking.

Once Cornetto is old enough and fully vaccinated it will be important that she is taken for a daily walk. She watches her foster siblings go on their daily walks with much envy! She cannot wait until it is her turn one day.

Exercise/toys

Cornetto loves exploring in the house and outside in the garden. She can be seen with her siblings in the garden playing hide and seek and enjoys wrestling with her brothers. You will normally find her outside in the garden exploring or playing. Cornetto is learning about tug of war and will chase a ball.

Children

Cornetto is currently living in a home with 2 adults and 2 older teenagers, which she adores. Cornetto has also been around other people and is very friendly and playful.

Dogs/Cats

Cornetto has not been tested with cats, but due to her age I don't see any problem with her being homed with a cat.

Cornetto is currently living with two of her siblings and 2 Jack Russell’s who are older. Cornetto will try and get the attention from the other dogs, but being older they can be grumpy. Cornetto would love to find a home with a medium size male dog or would be happy to be the fur love of your life. Cornetto is a considerate pup, who is gentle and loving – she doesn’t annoy the JRT’s too much.

Travel

Cornetto is not fussed by the car and will normally just lay down and enjoy the ride.

Bath

Cornetto has had a few baths and is not fussed by the water at all. She is given treats during the bath to learn it is ok to have a spa treatment.

Cornetto would love the following type of home
A decent size backyard with grass for him to run and play on that is securely fenced and shelter areas

A family that are willing to take him to puppy school and ongoing training and keep him well socialized all through his life with other dogs

A nice daily walks when immunized and old enough

Preferred home with a medium male dog who is very well socialised with others but kind and gentle with puppies (non dogs homes will also be considered)

Must be able to sleep indoors / under cover in a kennel or crate
