About Narla ~ 3yr Old Cattle Dog X(On Trial 21/06/2022)
Hi, I'm Narla, a 3 year old medium size female Cattle Dog X Border Collie. I'm pretty gorgeous, with my glossy soft coat, and beaming brown eyes, it's hard not to fall in love with me. I’m looking forward for the next chapter of my life with my furever family that will love and cherish me.
Being my forever human, you're going to be in for some serious loving. I absolutely love a cuddle and to snuggle up on the lounge with you when its a bit cold and windy. I'm a super chilled and laid back kinda gal, and enjoy the quiet life and the finer things. I am the perfect companion dog, and definately earn the "best shadow" award.
When you first meet me, I can be a little bit shy. I am really excited to meet you, but do lack a little confidence in showing you how amazing I am straight away. My tactic is to roll over, and score all of the belly rubs and pats I can manage before I reel you in with my incredible personality. I’m a little bit on the heavy side as the ongoing rain has put a dampener on me getting that head start for a summer beach bod. But with your help, and plenty of love, walks and exercise, I'll be bay watch ready in no time! I absolutely love car rides, so road trips are totally my thing.
I’m generally doggo friendly, however I have been upset by a doggo before, so if you have someone at home for me to live with who has four paws and a tail, please bring them along so we can have a couple of doggy dates to see if we can be good friends. I chase cats and birds, so I’m looking for a home with no cats or pocket pets. I would prefer older children, ages 10yr and over, as I have not had much experience with the younger ones, and would be very upset if I accidently bumped someone over.
I love my humans so would prefer to be with someone that works from home or works away from home only part time. I would suit a small family with older children, a retired couple or single, or someone who is home more often than not, who will allow me to come inside and be part of the family. I am house trained and can use my own doggy door. That best shadow award means I am the best company and follow my humans from room to room just to have their company. Being in your presence is the most relaxing thing for me, and I cant get enough.
I don’t really play with toys. I’m not overly sure on fancy treats but will give some a try, preferring simpler food from the kitchen. If you give me a bone, I will bury it for later.
I’m an inside dog and if taken out last thing at night for a quick pee, I will sleep through until morning. I sleep on my own bed near my foster mum’s bed, but if she snores a bit I might excuse myself to another doggie bed for the night. I do like to check on you when I see your awake as its time for a bit of breakfast. I can sometimes jump up on the bed beside you as some people like a snuggle, but I will understand if this is not your thing and I will learn to respect this with a few hints -yep,’ get down’ does the trick. I’m a very quiet dog and don’t generally bark unless I hear a unfamiliar noise. I’m a little bit unsure of storms but will settle with your reassurance.
