Axel ~ 8yr Old Maltese X (On Trial 10/06/22)

The adorably delicious Mr “Axel” is looking for his perfect home! Axel is an 8-year-old Maltese x Foxy and is the most loving boy.

Axel is incredibly smart and learns new tricks with ease. He is toilet trained and has already learnt to sit, stay, “Go to bed” (his favourite command), and come for cuddles. He would benefit from a family who likes taking him for a walk and on a cold winter’s night needs a lap warmer. Being a Maltese x Foxy, some may think that means yappy dog but not in Axel's case. He is very quiet, never barks and is a very well-mannered GENTLEMAN. While he can be active (in short bursts)

Axel is also a fan of rest, cuddles, pats, love, relaxation and can often be found sprawled out on the lounge, on the floor, and on your lap. He has been walking on lead very well and knows it’s time when you pick up the lead. While he will occasionally pull, being little, it’s more of a slight tug than a pull.

Axel will need a family who will welcome him into their home and lives whilst including him in their daily activities. Axel goes with the flow so long as he gets his cuddles and pats. Life is sweet as can be and he does not mind being left alone as long as he has a secure yard and a doggy door you won’t come home to any surprises. Axel would benefit from having someone at home, but he really does just go with the flow.

He has such a loving gentle soul and loves children! He would be best suited to a family with children aged 12+ due to his size (as he won’t grow any more). Axel’s foster family have another silky terrier that he gets along with well who also loves cuddles, pats, and will chase toys. Just don’t expect them to come back!

Axel travels really well in a car just put his day bed on the back seat and he will just sit there for the entire journey, he would make a great travelling companion. Axel has been socialised with other dogs and would be fine to join a family with other dogs in the home (just not young pups they are too much energy for him). He really loves with all his heart and
is so very loyal.
