Hi my name is "Burley"

Burley by name burley by nature, I'm a BIG boofy boy but with lots of smarts to go with it. I am curious and confident and am pretty much the all-rounder of us all. I am happy to spend time doing my own thing but when its time to play with my siblings, staff and volunteers I'm in .... I don't mine a good cuddle too if they are on offer.

ABOUT THIS DOG BREED: The Maremma is NOT a golden retriever - it is an Italian sheep-guarding dog. Maremma's have unique personality traits that potential adoptees must be aware of prior to application to ensure this is the right dog for the living environment. Yes, they are CUTE and fluffy pups but as adults they may be aloof, independent and prone to bark as the dog was bred to guard sheep against predators. They have a strong work ethic and remain devoted to their job as protectors of 'their mob'.

ADOPTION COST: The adoption fee for the Maremma pups is $795.00 which helps to cover the cost of mandatory de-sexing, vaccinations, microchip and a lot of care from the RSPCA crew. Who says you can't buy love?!
