About Sox
*In foster care in Marrickville, Sydney*
A gorgeous English Staffordshire boy, Sox is truly the gentlest of souls! Some of his favourite things in the world include long walks, meeting other dogs and laying out in the sun. He's also incredibly quiet - the loudest noise he makes is usually his cute, snuffly snores during his daytime naps!
Active owners will get a kick out of Sox's occasional puppyish moments - he's still a young lad, after all! He's also very smart and loves to learn, so he's very responsive to commands and training. Sox is a sensitive guy, he does take time to warm up to new environments and likes a predictable, calm house with a family that are gentle, kind and have a bit experience to help him always feel safe and secure.
Like all Maggie's pets, Sox is microchipped, desexed and vaccinated.

MY IDEAL HOME: I am looking for a calm environment with a bit of secure outdoor space. I love taking myself off for some sunshine, or a nice long chew on a toy or bone. Because I'm quite a sensitive boy, I'll need some help to gain confidence when being left alone. My new family ideally will be a bit experienced and willing to take things at my pace pace.
MY ENERGY LEVEL: Quite variable, really, depending on the time of day! In the morning and late afternoon I can get very excited and animated - but for most of the day I'm usually asleep :) I'll need at least one decent, brisk walk every day, but two would be perfect.
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: Although I'm extremely gentle and patient with children, I'm a strong, stocky fellow who may not match well with younger kids, given my 22kg weight! I like things pretty predictable and calm at home so I would prefer either an adult only home or a home with teens 14 and up.
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: I love other dogs so much! I really do think that every dog I meet is my new best mate :) I'm inquisitive and gentle with them, but also don't mind some friendly roughhousing.
I haven't had the chance to meet any cats since coming into foster care.

We ask all people looking to adopt to fill in our adoption enquiry form at https://form.jotform.co/80677377750872. Please use this link rather than the 'Enquire' button on the pet's PetRescue profile to streamline your enquiry.
Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
