* needs a dog buddy
Raine is a beautiful, very gentle and affectionate-natured little fellow, who gives lots of love and cuddles.
He will make the perfect companion for a child or adult, as he has that special loyal quality about him. He wants to be near you. Raine is good with children and adults, sometimes he can be a bit tuggy with clothing while playing, but that’s a puppy thing, he is quickly learning what No! means.
He is a little coy and sensitive around lots of activity and noise, but loves to follow his foster family around the yard, in the shed and about the garden, wanting to be close by.
Training is progressing nicely - he is quickly learning to sit for a treat and is currently learning to stay and wait for his dinner. He is a very food-driven boy, learning with treats works for him. Toilet training is coming along nicely, with the help of Puppy Pads inside and he is improving every day.
A 5ft fence all round would be ideal for Raine as he is an active boy.
Raine’s favourite activities are fetch ball and tug, and he loves to play with running water. He spends a lot of time wrestling with his sibling and loves to have a buddy to play with when his foster family are away from home.
He is very social and used to playing with other dogs, male and female. His foster family have cats with whom he is familiar, viewing them at a distance. He will occasionally chase after one when it happens to walk by, barking of course, but with no aggression. There are chooks next door that he likes to quietly observe.
The ideal home for Raine would be one where he has a special companion, child or adult, and is accepted as one of the family, where he is allowed to be on his couch and to come and go when he wants via doggy door access. He will need a home where he gets plenty of exercise and outings with his companion, as well as lots of love and good food. He'll also need a dog buddy. A happy-ever-after home.
Medical notes
Raine is available for pre-adoption prior to desexing and will remain in foster care for recovery after desexing.
