Miss Coco is now ready to seek her forever home. This absolutely gorgeous red Toy Poodle is 1 year and 10onths old and weighing in at 4.3 kilos so at her perfect weight

Miss Coco is a very well-behaved, affectionate girl. She is extremely happy to see you and appreciates all the time you offer her. She loves showing how much she cares and follows you wherever you go. I think he is very cute and is such a pleasure to spend time with and makes you smile and laugh. She has a very soft curly coat with no shedding. She is a very keen belly scratcher and will roll onto her back and close her eyes and fall asleep. She does not bark a lot only when something catches her eye that he does not understand. Every human encounter Coco has had they either want to take her home or comment on what beautifully natured dog she is, she is very accepting of vet visits and bathing showing complete trust in her humans.

Traveling in the car

Miss Coco is learning to travel well in the car .Initially she was a bit over excited but the more she travels the better she is settling

Food

Typical to her breed ( I personally know from experience lol ) Miss Coc is pretty food fussy and just because she likes it one day doesn't mean she will the next ........ Although she is now grazing on Dry food during the day and wet food meals its important the she is given " crunch " foods etc to maintain her teeth as little breeds can have dental issues if teeth scraping and cleaning on "crunch food" inst upkept

Outside

Coco is happy to be outside and always greets me with enthusiasm and a happy dance she has the shelter of a garage when outside

Now this little Munchkin did escape from her foster yard a few times by finding a soft dirt patch near the fence and making a little hole to squeeze out when her foster dad went out so we are seeking a home that will ensure she is kept inside when leaving the home to keep her safe.

Visitors – People

Coco has been introduced to small children, adults and elderly and she is the perfect host always greeting visitors with affection, she has shown no reluctance to anyone she has met.Please be mindful this little sweetheart is only small and weight of around 4 kilos so we would be mindful about putting her into a home with very small children for her own safety

Enrichment

Coco enjoys a game of fetch with her soft toys she will greet you with a toy in her mouth and that is her signal for play she can be easily encouraged to play with a ball at an off the lead dog park or similar surrounding.

When hse is home alone she loves her toys to play with so a variety of toys is important to her

Toy Poodles love brain games to keep their minds busy so treat puzzles and games are important

Independence

In the first 2 weeks of arrival Miss Coc did have a little anxiety when her foster Dad went to work but now she has settled in she has no issues if being left alone

Walks

Coco is an excellent walker and shows perfect manners and concentration on her walks, she will try to engage with other dogs and if the other dog owner approves she will have a short meet and greet with other dogs, she shows no fear towards loud noises from cars or train horns of signals.

Miss Coco will need a nice daily walk to keep her fit and happy

Based on her size and being very small and fluffy we are cautious of a home that plan on taking her to off lead dog parks as she is a Prime target for not friendly dogs so prefer her to be kept away from off lead areas that are not completely controlled

Obedience

Coco is very good at accepting commands. She sits away and watches while you prepare her meals and waits for you to tap her food bowl to eat. She comes when you call her and will sit when asked

Inside

Coco is happy to be invited into the house, she is quiet and obedient when inside.

As Miss Coco is a Toy Poodle she is strictly not an outside dog and must be an inside dog at all times unless for playing or toileting

Dog Socialisation

Miss Coco has met dogs on her walks and is very social

Sleeping habits

Coco sleeps inside in her dog bed and is a very good sleeper.

She loves a soft snuggle bed and has not been destructive at all

Toilet training

Coco is toilet trained and did not need much encouragement to find a regular position outside, she will stand at the door until let her out and let you know it's time to come in

Grooming

Miss Coco will need a professional groom EVERY 6 - 8 weeks

She is a Toy Poodle and their coats grow very quickly and MUST be groomed by a professional groomer

IDEAL HOME

We feel Miss Coco would thrive in a home where her human or family is regularly home and very inclusive. Coco must be an inside dog with easy outside access, giving her the freedom to go about his day as he sees fit. His family will need to invest time in her and ensure he has daily enrichment because he is both intelligent and cheeky.
