Please meet JAYCO, a miniature salt & pepper Schnauzer male born on 4 July 2017.

This clever boy has settled into his foster home with ease. He loves the freedom of a backyard and is very active during the day, either running around or playing with his canine mates.

Jayco isn't needy and rarely looks for affection, but is happy to accept it. He's great with other dogs, both male and female, but is untested with cats and kids.

He enjoys his food and you can see that in his waistline.

He takes himself off to bed at night and doesn't stir until morning.

Jayco's foster mum says he's a well-balanced, easy-going dog that has coped very well with recent changes in his life.

"He'll make a lovely companion for some lucky person," she says.

Jayco will do best in an active home where he has the opportunity for plenty of daily exercise and mental stimulation. He is very much an inside-outside dog. He is not suited to full-time workers. Secure fencing is a must.

Preference will be given to homes where someone is around most of the time and there's another compatible dog for him to play with. Prior experience with schnauzers will be highly regarded. As always, secure fencing is essential.

His adoption fee is $950 and he is desexed, vaccinated and microchipped.
