About Ace DL2827
Aptly named, this dog is an ace! He’s a superstar at learning new tricks and we can’t wait to find the perfect owner to help Ace reach his full potential.
Ace is already nailing the basics like sit, stay, and come. Plus, in a very short time, he’s also picked up shake, lay down, roll over, spin, jump through hoop, and crawl!
Just imagine the awesome stuff you can learn together. You could run off and join the circus as a dynamic duo… Or perhaps you could teach him to fetch you the tv remote & a drink from the fridge!
Aside from his cool tricks, Ace is also a great house companion. He’ll happily sleep on his bed or in the sun if you’re busy pottering around the house. He does complain a little when you leave for work, and is very happy to see you get home.
He’d prefer someone who’s home more often, though he may be ok with part or full time workers, as long as he had a comfy place to nap and plenty of mental stimulation. He needs plenty of attention and walks and love!
Ace loves his daily walks and is getting used to walking on the leash without pulling. He'd like someone committed to his training so that he can enjoy his daily walks even more. Currently, he enjoys walking at quieter times.
He is very excited/scared to see other dogs so will need strong guidance and desensitizing to address his reactivity. He is not a big fan of close contact with other dogs but could overcome his fears with a patient owner who will make introductions very slowly at his pace.
Ace hasn’t been tested with cats and isn't suited to a home with kids. Ace is a blast around strangers who come to visit and will put his friendliest self forward to ensure he scores all the pats!
Not-so-secretly, Ace is a big baby. He loves people, pats, getting brushed, and treats. He is such a sweetheart and is working on his best self each day. With consistent leadership and training, he will be your best friend!
If you'd love to meet Ace, email DFL today to apply.
