About Ruby
If you are interested in Ruby or any of our Greyhounds then please fill in our adoption form; https://www.hounds-in-homes.com/adoptionform
Our gorgeous red fawn girl Ruby is looking for her forever home.
Ruby has spent the first 7 years of her life in a kennel but you wouldn’t know it, she has adjusted to home living very quickly.
She loves her humans and will spend most of the day sleeping near your feet. In between naps she will seek out neck scratches resting her head on your leg. She sleeps through the night but settles best in her own bed on the floor of her carers’ bedroom. We would ideally like to find someone who would be happy with this.
Ruby can still be very playful. She loves playing with all her toys and her foster brother. She loves a good zoomy while playing.
She loves going for her walks and walks well on lead. She will happily go on a long adventure with her favourite people. She however also doesn’t need a lot of exercise, she would be quite content with a few shorter walks a day.
Ruby is fully toilet trained and will let you know when she needs to go out. She picks up routines very quickly so would be suitable for apartment living. She has been fine left for a few hours but is unlikely to do well being left for long periods of time.
She currently lives with another dog and has shown no reactivity to other dogs when out, however she isn’t overly keen on strange dogs intense sniffing her, but fine with it once introduced properly. She would be both fine living with another dog or as an only dog.
Ruby is overall an extremely loving and sweet girl. She has been an absolute delight to foster and is so deserving of the chance to finally relax in a loving home.
