Seeking Dorothy... the yellow brick road of adventure awaits! Toto is the perfect companion and can't wait to find his new best friend. Toto is a great car traveller and lead walker and general house dog. He is good with other dogs and cats. And don't let his age fool you, he's still active and healthy for his age. He ticks all the ""good dog"" boxes. However, he needs a special owner who is dog savvy and a natural leader. While Toto is sweet and friendly 99.9% of the time, Just like the Toto on the silver screen, he has been known to mistake people for the Wicked Witch of the West and have a nip at them if he can't get his way.

For this reason we cannot home Toto with young children. He is good with children upon meeting them but due to his occasional nipping we would not take the risk. Toto is best suited to an experienced home with people who have owned terriers and are active wanting an easy companion they can take with them. He is not suited to primarily being a lap dog as he will soon assume the boss position and increase his nipping behaviour.

Toto is such a good dog most of the time, and his foster carer is having no problem with him at all. He deserves a home with the right people who understand his needs and give him the strict boundaries and leadership he thrives on.

Our adoption process includes a two week trial period to ensure you and your adopted pet are the right fit. Successful applicants will be contacted for an interview and a property inspection (as it is vital we rehome our animals to a safe, secure and suitable home).

The adoption fee of $250 assists to cover the costs of desexing, microchip, microchip ownership transfer, flea and worm treatment, vaccinations, vet check and a fitted Harness.
