Hi! My name is Poochie and I am a sweet young lady looking for my forever humans. I am very friendly and my favourite spot is cuddling up next to you on the couch or hanging my head out the window on a drive.

I would love a home where I have attention from my humans as much as I can and am allowed inside to hang out and sleep. I do ok on my own outside and sleep in my crate all night but would love someone who is home more often than not to spend time with me.

I have met a couple of dogs in my travels and love to play with them, however I can be a bit bossy so any resident dogs would need to be tolerant of me until I settle into my new pack.

I live with a foster cat sibling at home that I get along with but I do think he is a small dog so I try to play with him so any resident cats would need to be quite dog savvy and confident with me.

I haven’t met any children yet but given how sweet I am, I could have some older human siblings in my home as I am still learning lots of good manners.

I absolutely LOVE car rides and going on walks however I am still learning to walk nicely so would need someone confident, patient and willing to do ongoing training with me, in all aspects, to be the best dog I can be.

I am still learning a lot of things in life but my foster mum is very proud of how far I have come. I know how to sit and wait for my food but would love to learn much more from my humans. I could really benefit from classes with a trainer or attending an obedience school.

Poochie is prone to allergies, especially during spring and autumn. These will need monitoring and may need treatment. They manifest as itchy skin and/or ear infections but are quite routine and very treatable. Preventative measures like Omega oil supplements would definitely be of benefit and could help reduce the symptoms.
