About Virgil
Hi! I’m Virgil, but my foster dad calls me Vinny. I'm a 10-year-old smooth coat border collie boy. 💖💖💖
I'm searching for my retirement home with someone home most of the time. I'd be happy as an only dog or in a home with another calm dog. I'm good with humans of all ages. I'm a very affectionate boy and I'll lap up all the attention I can get. Belly rubs are my favourite thing and my new home will need to be prepared to provide me with lots of those.
I was a working dog, but that life is behind me now. I've moved into retirement and would love a home that will let me just be a pet dog now. I have some arthritis and early cataracts. But, I still enjoy farm life and a ride in the ute tray, but am equally at home in a sunny spot on the verandah.
I'm currently in care with other dogs & pups of various ages. I'm also in care with chooks & various livestock and leave them alone.
I sleep outside in my run in foster care, but would love to sleep inside. Foster mum & dad don’t hear a peep out of me until the morning. I'm a no fuss kinda guy and as long as I have a nice warm coat and somewhere warm and dry to sleep I'll be happy.
If you are looking for a great dog and you can commit to loving me for my remaining years, then what are you waiting for? Foster dad would love to hear from you.
Love & licks,
Virgil xx
Medical notes
Virgil sustained a front Rt leg fracture a few years ago. He had a pin and plate and has had no issues since, even continuing to work after the surgery. I have some arthritis and early onset cataracts.
