About Nellie
Nellie is a beautiful 6-8 month old mixed breed girl and she is the most affectionate and loving little dog you will ever meet! She is a little shadow who is looking for her forever family.
Nellie’s ideal forever home:
Nellies ideal forever home would be with another doggie friend!! Not only does she need the company to help her feel safe and ease her anxiety, she would love to run around and play with them. A secure yard is a must and tall fences would be preferable for Nellie. She is a still a puppy and she has not yet learnt all of the things that puppies learn very early on, so will need to be taught with patience and love. She is very intelligent, so this will not take long! A home where the humans are around more often than not would suit Nellie as she just loves people and their company. She is great with other dogs, cats and small animals. We anticipate that she will only grow to be about medium size so will be fine around young children also.
Nellie’s story:
Nellie, along with three other doggies, were left behind at a rental property for over a week after their previous owner was evicted. After being contacted by concerned staff at the real estate agent, we worked with local council rangers and the real estate to bring these doggies to safety. We understand that they have all spent much of their life in the backyard without much supervision, resulting in none of the doggies having had the opportunity to learn much about the outside world.
More about Nellie:
Nellie is a beautiful, affectionate, sweet soul. She loves to be around people more than anything and would love to have a canine companion. If you think that Nellie will complete your family, then fill in an adoption questionnaire today! Her adoption fee is $400 to cover all her care to date.
Medical notes
Nellie came into care slightly underweight but due to a regular feeding routine and good food, she is now a healthy weight! She is otherwise a healthy, happy girl. She has been desexed, fully vaccinated and is up to date with all flea, tick and worming preventions.
