About Sunny ~ 1yr Old Cattle Dog X
Sunny is happy, bubbly and bright 1yr old Cattle Dog X Border Collie.
Sunny loves to be near his humans. He especially likes it when his humans and his foster
sister (1 year old black lab x staffy) take him on adventurous walks and swims at the dog
beach. At home he likes chasing balls and sleeping in the sun.
Sunny is a very clever young dude. When he is at the beach he returns as soon as he hears
his mums whistle. He loves nothing more than running back to his mum, sitting politely at her
feet, wagging his tail, looking at her adoringly and waiting for his ‘Good boy’ pat.
Sunny is happy to have a lead on when he is taken for a walk. He gets excited about being
out so he still forgets he has a lead and tries to run before being pulled back, but responds
really well always eager to please his mum.
Sunny came from a home with lots of dogs and was very timid when he first came into care.
He is still cautious with new people but once he knows he isn’t going to be harmed he is
happy to have another person love him.
Sunny’s perfect home would be with a family who are happy to take him for some
adventures sometimes and really keep him part of the family activities. He has met our
senior cat who hisses and swipes him so he is cautious of her. If you have a cat that is
happy to become friends with a dog, Sunny would be gentle. He would suit a home that is
looking for a loyal, happy boy to nurture and include. If he is the second dog at the home I
would recommend someone his size and who is gentle or respectful of his size. He enjoys
playing with our black lab x staffy but she is bigger than him and she sometimes gets more
dominant.
Having someone working at home some of the time would suit Sunny. If he were feeling
secure and loved he would be ok to spend some alone time during the day knowing you
were returning home. We have standard fencing and he has never tried to jump it or dig
under it.
